Service & Experience

As many people do, I fell into the career of Financial Advisor after a variety of life experiences created a desire to learn more about personal finance. After my college basketball career at Keene State College in NH, I moved abroad to become a professional basketball player. As I worked and traveled, I spent a lot of time contemplating how to manage my family’s finances with a new baby on the way and a job on the road. Even when seeking advice, I realized that those around me also had little knowledge or understanding on many financial topics. This reality created a new-found passion for educating myself and others, on the topic of investments and financial planning.

I began my career of financial planning in early 2000. And in 2009, I started my own firm, IFB Wealth Management, in order to be an independent financial advisor. Now I am currently a partner at KMF Advisors where I manage the branch office in West Des Moines, IA as well as provide holistic financial planning to my own personal clients.

I take tremendous pride in focusing on understanding my clients’ wants and needs in order to educate them and guide them through the complexity of personal finance. The goal is to provide the client with knowledge and tools to navigate complicated financial topics and jargon, empowering them to make informed financial decisions.

Uniquely, many of my clients live all across the United States. Therefore, I hold the Series 7 and 66 securities registrations and I am registered in several states: FL, IA, IN, KY, MA, ME, NC, NH, OH.

My wife Amber and I keep busy with our son and daughter and our two great dogs. We enjoy being outdoors hiking, foraging and learning to surf. I also continue my love of basketball and fitness by coaching, training, mentoring and volunteering with many local youth athletes.
