Now with Focus Financial for 16 years, Jim spent his first 8 years in the industry at IDS. He’s proud of the longevity he maintains with his clients and strives to build the same types of relationships with new clients today.
Jim is a graduate of St. Thomas University with a B.A. in Psychology and Theology. He lives in Edina with his wife of 21 years, two teenagers, one dog, one gold fish and, until recently, one guinea pig.

Since 1988, Jim has been providing financial planning services of investment, retirement education, insurance planning and more. He continually strives to stay current and employ a well-diversified approach to investing for his clients.
Jim uses the “fee model” (RIA) approach with 99% of his clients. He believes it’s important to return calls right away and maintains a high level of quality client service. Initially, Jim will meet with new clients in person or by teleconference 2-3 times per year. Once an established relationship is built, the business relationship revolves more around phone call plan reviews. Above all, Jim focuses on finding hard-working people to provide his planning services for. He wants to help those who are ready to invest in the process.
