Putting myself through college and working untold hours early in my career has helped develop my work ethic as well as my sense of value and determination.
I remember talking with my great-grandfather, hearing of how he and his family had suffered during the early 1930’s, how he had rebuilt his business and persevered. Talking with him and observing his life inspired me to keep life in perspective - things of this world will fade, but people are eternal.
What attracted me to this field is the ability to help people accomplish goals they never thought possible. My very best days are the ones in which my clients experience success in their life’s journey.

Doug has over a decade of experience in the investment, consulting, and financial planning industries. Prior to joining Focus Financial, he was a Senior Wealth Advisor at a Twin Cities wealth management firm where he helped his clients navigate the complexities of taxes, managing wealth and distributions during their retirement years.
He has extensive experience working with clients who want to enjoy their retirement, knowing that he consistently monitors market events and his clients’ portfolios. Doug’s expertise includes designing an investment strategy and reviewing it regularly, retirement planning, goal setting, estate planning and active money management. Doug is a Certified Fund Specialist (CFS1); is Series 7 registered - FINRA General Securities Representative with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc.; Series 66 registered - Investment Advisor Representative and is licensed in Minnesota for Life and Health Insurance.
Doug believes a balanced life is crucial to a happy and satisfying career. He and his wife, Sue, delight in the time they spend with their four adult children creating special memories. Taking trips together, golfing, or just “hanging out” are moments they both cherish.
